David is a Hamburg-based Writer and Director. Having spent nine years as a Director of Photography on many short films and spec ads, he always held a deep interest in writing and learning the craft of directing. Realizing that true storytelling for him extends beyond the lens, David transitioned to writing and directing to work more closely with actors, explore characters, and bring his own stories to life. His work combines strong visual sensitivity with an approach rooted in authentic storytelling and meaningful collaboration.
